Mission: To create a 3D CG short film based on the battle of Wolf 359, as found in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Best of Both Worlds Part II" and Star Trek Deep Space Nine's "Emisary"
Why Wolf 359? Simply put, it is the one battle that has never been fully explored. All we have ever seen is a multitude of wrecked starships, and the small amount of footage seen in Emisary, as special effects of the time were too costly to create such an event. We feel that this battle deserves to be rendered out in full.
Why call it "Chronicle"? Because this is not an offical version of events of the Wolf 359 battle. We have taken all that we have seen and heard mention of throughout the Star Trek franchise, and created one possible scenario that encompases all the facts that have been seen to date. For example, why there are two ships named Melbourne (the Excelsior-class from Emisary, and the Nebula-class from BOBW), why a ship that seemingly posed no threat to the borg cube (by not attacking) was the first ship attacked and disabled in one shot, and how it could be possible for drones assimilated at Wolf 359 to appear on other borg vessles.
